Yuzu [Yoo-zoo] is a citrus fruit (Citrus junos, Rutaceae) originating in East Asia. Yuzu is the most popular of all citrus fruits in Japan. The fruit is found fresh in Japan throughout the winter months and can be found in many other convenient forms. With its strong taste and fragrant scent, the Yuzu rind is typically used to flavor various dishes. Dried, powdered Yuzu is tangy and sweet and often used in dressings, teas, and desserts. Aside from culinary uses in Japan, the juice can be added to a hot bath and is said to be good for the skin.
At Yuzu, our chefs create unique collaborations of Yuzu and Fish. Yuzu gives Fish freshness and flavor.
